The Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI with its 170 employees develops and provides innovative methods in the field of scientific computing and their implementation in industrial practice.
The Multiphysics business unit develops software solutions for multidisciplinary simulation applications in industrial environments. In the »MpCCI Analytics Toolbox« project, which starts in autumn 2019, we want to design and implement solutions for digital twins for material and process modeling. A particular challenge is the validation of the virtual simulation models using corresponding data from real measurement processes - e.g. measurement curves and video recordings of drop tests with filled liquid containers or the fluttering of seals in piping systems. To date, there are hardly any methods that allow a systematic and automated comparison of transient simulation results with real measurement sequences. The aim of this »MpCCI Analytics Toolbox« project is to develop appropriate evaluation and validation methods and make them available to customers and users in industry as a licensing solution.
