DARE – Delivering Agile Research Excellence on European e-Infrastructures

EU-project / Project start /

The aim of the DARE project is to provide a new working environment for scientific communities, wrestling with the challenges of extreme data, computing and complexity. For that purpose, DARE includes experts and use cases from two research infrastructures: EPOS (European Plate Observing System) and IS-ENES (Infrastructure for the European Network of Earth System Modelling), engaging in the co-design and production use of extreme methods that address these challenges. The resulting platform and development context will build transparent, traceable and developer-friendly bridges over existing European e-infrastructures and services and consequently allow for easily usable and reproducible huge data-driven experiments, and rapid prototyping. SCAI will take part in various aspects of the project but primarily contribute its expertise as an e-infrastructure expert in service integration and operations on highly distributed infrastructures.

Project duration: 01/2018 – 12/2020
